A SWCSA video talking about just in time grooming and 3PAR's reservationless approach to resource utilization in their InServ storage arrays. Thin provisioned storage and snapshots (3PAR's Virtual Copy software) are assigned storage resources at the time they are needed - and not before. That means that Administrators don't have to guess which pools to put disk drives in - or how to structure hypers and metas with 3PAR.
I caught this meme from Author Nicholas Carr and Amazon's chief technology officer, Werner Vogels. The idea is to pick and album for every year of your life. No bands or artists can repeat (although I think band members with solo albums count as separate entities). I tried to make sure the album for a given year was released during that year. If you are a music lover, you ought to give this a try - whether or not you have a blog to post it to. It will likely bring back memories of music that you haven't listened to for several years.

*Originally I had Thelonius Monk and John Coltrane's album, Thelonius Monk and John Coltrane for 1957. But having John Coltrane again in 1961, I thought this stretched the 'no repeat' rule too far, so I replaced it with Monk's, Monk's Music.
