A SWCSA video talking about just in time grooming and 3PAR's reservationless approach to resource utilization in their InServ storage arrays. Thin provisioned storage and snapshots (3PAR's Virtual Copy software) are assigned storage resources at the time they are needed - and not before. That means that Administrators don't have to guess which pools to put disk drives in - or how to structure hypers and metas with 3PAR.
did I really just watch this?

Thanks for the ElderHostel plug, but just for the record I'm only 51 this year, quite some years before retirement. My wife runs the reservations call center for ElderHostel which affords us the opportunity to take some of the awesome trips they provide.
And in fact, ElderHostel isn't just for "Elders" anymore - their programs are available to all ages these days. Visit www.thenewelderhostel.org to learn more!

Wow, good news - you don't need an AARP card to get in! So much interesting stuff.
